This is the second purchase of the same bag I bought years ago in San Francisco. That bag was damaged. The best bag I ever had and I’m delighted to have been able to replace it. The size and style are just perfect for my needs. I chose the olive color (same as before). A beautiful color that compliments just about everything thing in my closet. I’m guessing that I should order the same bag in black to go with everything else!

I love this backback which I plan on using also as a purse. This model, #810B is large enough to fit extras like a sweater and a book, while also having a great secure zipper on the back side where I can safely keep my ID & money. It's beautiful and well-made as well!
Just wonderful: leather and workmanship (workpersonship?) excellent. A little bigger than I expected: can hold lots.

I 1st purchased this bag over 25 years ago at the Hotel Del Coronado. Since then I have purchased at least 4 more. This is my go to favorite one and only bag. It saved me from breaking my back when I slipped in the Muir woods. This bag travels so well I never have to worry about anything falling out or being pickpocketed it is so durable it is like some military grade leather! SO durable. It cleans up fabulously, it wears beautifully. The quality is impeccable the lining is so well made. I have had all the designer bags from Louis down. Hands down this is my favorite and I will carry it until I'm not carrying a bag anymore.

Many years ago my doctor told me I could no longer wear my collection of shoulder/cross body bags (I had lots of Sven bags). I didn't like the idea of wearing backpack; it didn't fit with my professional attire and career. Soon after I left the doctor's office, I visited a shoe store in SF and saw the smaller version of the 810B ... kismet! Remarkably well made, high quality, and made in Berkeley, this UCB alum bought it and have used it daily ever since. One of the reasons this bag is wonderful is that no one can open and enter the pack while I'm wearing it, which means it is perfect for traveling! I just bought the 810B bag - I wanted a larger bag - and have started using it daily as well. Just as well made, of high quality, and STILL made in the US! This time I ordered the chocolate - a beautiful, rich, deep brown. Love this bag! Best bag I've ever owned.
